Breathing is one of the most basic functions of life, needed as a foundation for daily activities and mobility. When a patient needs artificial assistance to breath, our expertise as occupational and physical therapists can be used to improve patient outcomes. This lecture is for occupational and physical therapists wanting to expand knowledge to better treat patients who have artificial airways, typically in the acute care setting.
