Leadership skills can improve your nursing and/or preceptor role in ambulatory care settings in a variety of ways. Whether you are a staff nurse, supervisor, or educator, learning how to be a better leader can enhance the way you precept and guide new staff. It is also important to understand some key differences between leadership and management in ambulatory care. With diverse settings and constant coordination of care in ambulatory care settings, having the skills to be a confident and effective leader can make all the difference. The goal of this course is to provide information about effective leadership skills that can enhance preceptorships.
