Course overview

Substance use disorders are prevalent in the United States. Healthcare providers may care for patients at risk for withdrawal no matter what floor of the hospital they work on. Healthcare providers need to learn the signs of withdrawal so interventions can be implemented as soon as possible. This course is designed to give a general overview of withdrawal symptoms of and treatments utilized for patients withdrawing from alcohol, opioid, stimulant and/or benzodiazepine use.
