This course, in preparation for the ICD-10 conversion, will discuss the importance of good documentation habits and how it pertains to ICD-10 implementation. LEARNING OUTCOMES: Upon completion of this course, you should be able to: - Discuss uses of clinical documentation. - Define high quality clinical documentation. - Explain the relationship between documentation and coding. - Discuss the reasons for clinical documentation improvement initiatives. - Explain what it means for clinicians. - Explain the relationship between documentation and compliance. - Explain general documentation requirements under ICD-10.
