Learn moreCourse overview
Designed by expert physical therapists in the PD field, this course sets out to help fellow physical therapists better understand how to evaluate, treat and deliver comprehensive Parkinson's care. This multi-module course provides practical, evidence-based knowledge on effectively assessing and treating individuals with Parkinson's. Nearly one million are living with Parkinson's disease (PD). Approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with PD each year. This number means many things for health care systems around the world, especially for physical therapists, who are seeing an increasing caseload of people with PD. Unfortunately, there is currently little information on the disease specifically designed for physical therapists, which was the impetus behind this course. To address this need, the Parkinson's Foundation designed this online course specifically for physical therapists interested in treating people with PD.
