Course overview

The Medicare Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) demonstration was conducted in nine states, including Florida, from 2016 through 2020. The demonstration was designed to give Medicare-certified home health agencies (HHAs) incentives to give higher quality and more efficient care. HHAs in these states competed on value in the VBP Model, where payment was tied to quality performance. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that it is likely that VBP will be expanded nationally in January 2023. This webinar will assess the impact of this expansion on Florida providers and others in demonstration states as well as forecast what all providers can expect if the expansion is implemented.
