Course overview

The latest severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variant Omicron (B.1.1.529) has again created panic responses in America and around the world due to its virulence and vaccine escape mutations. To overcome the spread of vaccines of concern such as the Delta and Omicron viruses, pharmaceutical companies are developing vaccines to provide immunizations to adults and children between the ages of 5 to 11 years old and 12 years and older. This course will provide an overview of the Omicron virus and the current vaccines available to protect the public against this deadly disease.
