Course overview

The field of epigenetic research has grown tremendously over the last 20 years. Most recently, scientists have discovered how epigenetic markers can be used to enhance treatment of various diseases. Through these markers various new trends in medications and exercise prescription have evolved. This course will explore the new research in its relation to the rehabilitation field, how to interpret the research to enhance exercise program development and improve patient outcomes in all background settings and with any age group. The attendee will learn how to better detect and treat disease, while leading the future of healthcare, with genetic and genome-based research treatments.
