Course overview

Rehabilitation following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is extensive and has many different components. When treating the youth athlete there are unique considerations that require additional understanding to provide evidence-based care. This course will discuss phases of ACL rehabilitation pre-operatively through return to sport. This course will also touch on youth athlete ACL tear epidemiology, risk factors, and evidence-based ACL injury prevention strategies. Attendees will review the evidence behind physical therapy care along the full timeline of ACL treatment with a focus on the youth athlete. At the end of this course, attendees will have improved treatment progression skills and criterion-based knowledge they can apply immediately to their youth ACL reconstruction patients.
