Course Description: This online class is _8 __ hour(s) long and consists of 12 modules. After each module, the learner takes a quiz over the content covered in the module. Class delivery Is through Palmer College of Chiropractic's learning management system (LMS). The LMS requires a unique log-in consisting of a username and password. This process is used in the academic setting at Palmer and is accepted by the College's two accrediting bodies: The Higher Learning Commission and the Council on Chiropractic Education. Palmer's Continuing Education department tracks the time spent on the course. The Instructor updates the course content and quiz at least annually. Example of content in the class: (FMCSA National Registry) This course consists of 12 learning modules including vision, hearing, hypertension, cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal, diabetes mellitus, psychological disorders and drug abuse and alcoholism. Following each module, the medical provider will complete a short online quiz to test their knowledge. Upon completion of the program, a 120 question online post-test is administered In preparation of the National Registry Examination. Course Outcomes: After taking this course, the learner wlll be able to become a certified medical examiner and apply the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) driver physical qualification standards and guidelines. This NRCME training course meets or exceeds the core curriculum requirements as specified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
