Course overview

This course identifies some of the major causes of back pain, which affects over 80% of American adults at some time. The crucial structures related to the spine and the major pathologies which impede spinal health are reviewed. Healthcare professionals will be guided in a discussion of major and supporting structures, risk factors that contribute to back pain and injury and key muscles often implicated in cases of back pain. The course includes hands-on techniques as well as key stretching and basic strengthening exercises that can be immediately incorporated into their daily treatments.
