September 15, 2023 Live Webinar This training offers an in-depth look at ways to conceptualize complex trauma within the EMDR model. EMDR therapists work within a framework that often involves complexities throughout a clients trauma history. This training serves to develop an understanding of case conceptualization within the context of EMDR therapy by differentiating single and complex trauma symptoms. By thoroughly identifying goals, organizing clients presenting symptoms, and developing an appropriate treatment plan, clinicians will develop a clear understanding of how to navigate complex trauma within the EMDR model. Presenter Bios: Nina Davey, LCPC, ATR-BC, PMH-C, ACS Nina Davey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), a Registered, Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), and holds a certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). Nina has over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Nina believes that everyone is capable of healing, growth, and resiliency. Although life is constantly changing and moving, she believes that each person can achieve the life and level of happiness they desire through self-exploration and a deeper look into their experiences. Nina works from an experiential based, relational model to support this healing journey and to strengthen self-awareness. Nina is a Certified EMDR Therapist and an Approved EMDR Consultant. She uses a variety of treatment modalities through a trauma-informed perspective, including Art Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR, and Sand Tray Therapy. Nina works with those going through a traumatic experience (childhood or recent trauma), challenges related to depression and anxiety, sexual abuse, life transitions, self-esteem and stress management. Nina has extensive training in trauma (PTSD) and childhood abuse and has a particular interest working with womens issues around Perinatal and Postpartum support. Nina is an Approved Credentialed Supervisor (ACS) for LGPC clinicians as well as an Approved Supervisor for Art Therapists. Denise Migliorini, LCSW-C Denise Migliorini is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LSCW-C) with extensive background in working with trauma survivors individually and within families. Denise is certified in using the Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) method, an art based approach to process trauma, as well as trained in using EMDR. Through her practice, Denise works alongside her clients on their healing journey using techniques from mindfulness, experiential practices, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Denise believes that everyone has the ability to heal and grow and tailors her approach to uniquely meet the needs of each client. She takes a holistic systems approach to address problematic symptoms and behaviors. Denise provides a safe space to explore symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. Recognize the importance of conceptualizing complex trauma through an EMDR lens, limiting the disruption of being induced into a clients chaos. Demonstrate various ways to break down a complex case and conceptualize an appropriate treatment plan using EMDR therapy.
