Course overview

In the acute care setting, physical and occupational therapy professionals provide effective interventions to medically complex patients. There are specific demands that clinicians must be prepared to meet, including higher levels of patient acuity and the fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Efficient evaluations and close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team are critical. This introduction course is designed for physical and occupational therapy providers new to the acute care setting and to their roles and expectations of practice.
