THR for Veterinary Surgical Technicians Workshop

Course overview

The Total Hip Replacement for Veterinary Surgical Technicians Workshop will provide a full day of hands-on instruction. Participants of this workshop will learn recommended pre-op and post-op patient care, how to take well-positioned x-rays, surgery-day preparation, and responsibilities including proper patient clipping, positioning, and draping for THR. Additional topics will include Inventory Management as well as suggested communication and relationship-building with both pet parents and the referring veterinarian. Course participants will also have the opportunity to experience both sides of the operating table, along with time for Q&A throughout three THR procedures; Cemented, Cementless, and a Hybrid THR
