This course is designed to further the knowledge of Physical Therapists and their Assistants, and Registered Nurses, who are certified in Lymphedema Management in the treatment known as Manual Lymph Drainage and Complete Decongestive Therapy (MLD/CDT), in the management of chronic wounds caused by venous insufficiencies. Upon completion of this course, therapists will be able to properly identify wound characteristics consistent with venous insufficiencies in combination with lymphedema, and understand how to effectively apply the different components of MLD/CDT for patients with integumentary dysfunction associated with lymphedema.
