Dementia causes a person to lose connection with their past, themself, and the people around them. Reminiscing can be an effective tool to build connections. Caregivers who use reminiscing often find that they can provide better care. This course discusses how reminiscing can be used to reduce behaviors and resistance to care. It also discusses best practices and shares examples of how to add reminiscing to your daily care tasks. The goal of this course is to educate caregivers and administrators on the benefits of reminiscing for people with dementia.
