The field of ADHD diagnosis and treatment is continuing to evolve and expand. The diverse needs of students can pose challenges in maintaining an equitable and harmonious classroom. Those who did well in high school are now attending demanding colleges, requiring a new skillset to be successful. As educators, you shape both academic and emotional journeys, and were here to support you in creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment for all your students Women with ADHD are now the fastest growing group for a new diagnosis. These women and their clinicians are figuring out how the struggles of ADHD intersect with the demands on women in todays society. Clinicians who specialize in other conditions, such as eating disorders, are increasingly looking for ADHD as a comorbidity and how each condition impacts treatment for the other. Couples therapists are realizing the impact of undiagnosed or under-treated ADHD as a driver of couples seeking therapy to overcome the persistent barriers to a better relationship. ADHD is the thread that runs through all of these clients and situations. The most effective clinicians will be able to not only identify and treat ADHD, but also understand the interaction of ADHD with everything else in clients lives. This will facilitate more effective interventions that take into account all of whom the client is and what they want from therapy. ADHD rarely travels alone. The next evolution in the field is to be able to integrate the treatment of ADHD for every client and every situation.
