Disaster responders and first responders serve on the front lines of disasters and other crises. By virtue of their work, they help communities address the broad range of challenges disasters present. They save lives, mitigate suffering, and improve post-disaster outcomes. However, also through their work, they may face hazards, horror, and suffering that can affect their mental health and well-being. This course will identify ways to manage stress after disaster and emergency situations.
