Course overview

Occupational therapy professionals are regularly confronted with a variety of ethical and moral dilemmas throughout their careers and interactions with other staff and with clients. Their decisions, and even their failures to make decisions, can have long-range effects professionally and personally for providers, patients, healthcare entities, and society as a whole. This course addresses ethical and moral dilemmas that occupational therapy professionals are likely to experience. Ethical decision-making processes are reviewed and applied to case studies to help learn how to address ethical dilemmas.
