Dr. James Demetrious provides a review of research and clinical perspectives related to Cervical Artery Dissection and associated risk factors. (1.0 CE hours). Course attendees will receive current, advanced rationales gleaned from the literature and clinical practice. Hourly Syllabus: - Hour 1: Chiropractic and CAD, CAD clinical signs/symptoms, chiropractic cases, identified risk factors, Fluoroquinolones connective tissue degradation, FQ aortic and cervical artery dissections. Learning Objectives: - Attendees will better understand current concepts related to cervical artery dissection, risk factors and the role of Fluoroquinolones as a CAD risk factor. - Attendees will improve diagnostic decision-making. - Attending will be better prepared with regard to questions related to CAD and FQs.
