Gain practical guidance on evidence based palliative practices to manage common symptoms accompanying advanced diseases and provide competent and compassionate end of life care. Course Objectives: * Explain key ethical questions that arise in the transition to and within a palliative care plan. * Describe how to assess for and attend to different cultural and spiritual perspectives. * Identify interdisciplinary approaches for end-of-life care. * Differentiate between atypical and typical responses to loss. * Describe interventions that support a healthy grief reaction.
