Pain Management: Complimentary Approaches
Tracking # 20-905588
Course overview
Many complementary and alternative therapies focus on relaxing and reducing stress. They help increase a sense of well-being, relieve anxiety, and calm emotions. Alternative and complementary therapies for pain management include temperature therapies, guided imagery, acupuncture, massage, Reiki, aromatherapy, animal-assisted therapy, and cannabidiol (CBD). This course discusses the evidence associated with these therapies. It also discusses information about when each of these complementary and alternative therapies may be appropriate to incorporate into a pain management regimen.
