Adhesive capsulitis, also known as frozen shoulder syndrome, is a common and extremely painful shoulder disorder that can leave a client unable to use the affected extremity. Occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other allied health personnel in orthopedic settings are often called upon to help clients alleviate their pain and restore range of motion, strength, and function to the affected shoulder. This course is designed to help physical therapists and other health care personnel identify the etiology, presentation, and treatment options available for those with adhesive capsulitis.
