Course overview
Comorbidities or multiple chronic conditions (MCC)s account for most healthcare costs (Hajat et al., 2021). The Centers for Disease Control [CDC] (n.d.) states how MCCs also yield the most preventable negative outcomes. Both care and costs are readily impacted by MCCs due to several barriers. The goal of this course is to educate nursing professionals, physician assistants, and physicians in all healthcare settings about comorbidities and their respective impact on patient care and healthcare costs.
