Course overview

Participants will be able to list nine factors that increase the risk of PTSD after trauma, will be able to name the many symptoms seen in youth with Developmental Trauma Disorder, will be able to describe key factors to review in a developmental assessment, key symptoms to identify to make a diagnosis of PTSD, and helpful methods for use in exploring potential child abuse or neglect, will be able to describe research-based risk and protective factors for suicide and violence, will be able to name the eight essential interventions in Trauma-focused CBT, and will be able to name ten resilience behaviors that will facilitate growth after trauma for children and/or their parents.
