I was once challenged to determine why I could carry a tiny purse and my friend carried a purse that resembled an over night bag. The answer...I found at least 16 apps that took the place of physical items I might carry in a larger purse. AOTA's Occupational Therapy Practice Framework: Domain and Process, Edition 4 classifies smart phones as "assistive technology". We all have smart phones, our patients all have smart phones and smart phone use is considered an IADL. This course is for anyone that want's to learn to be more efficient by using their smart phone. For Occupational Therapy Practitioners, you need to know how to use your smart phone so you can help your patients. Learning Objectives: 1. Learn OT's role in smart phone use 2. Identify 3-5 apps you will institute in your daily practice 3. Learn how to use your favorite apps more efficiently
