Evidenced-Based Practice & Quality Care for Practicing Healthcare Workers

Course overview

This course is designed to help healthcare workers understand the relationships among research, evidence-based practice (EBP), and quality care. The research process and EBP is examined, research studies are critiqued, and the use of evidence as a basis for nursing practice is explored. Participants learn where to find evidence, are introduced to methods on how to judge its strength and gain foundational knowledge on how it is used to develop policy/standards of care and ensure quality care. Participants with gain a fundamental knowledge of EBP and practice application.
