Course overview

Chemotherapy and oncology/hematology can be intimidating for pharmacy technicians, since it is a fast-growing area of pharmacy. During this webinar, participants will learn about the most common chemotherapy agents, their side effects, drug-drug interactions and contradictions. This session will give a general overview of what a pharmacy technician needs to know about cancer and chemotherapy including classifications and general pathophysiology of cancer. Participants will also learn about the concepts of pre-medication/pre-hydration and how to manage some of most common chemotherapy complications.
