Course overview
Occupational therapists (OTs) have a critical role conducting standardized assessments of activities of daily living (ADLs), translating assessment scores into effective treatment plans, and accurately reporting self-care and mobility scores for Section GG of Medicare post-acute care assessments. These skills are critical to ensure the patient receives the appropriate type and amount of occupational therapy. This course describes the OT's role in evaluating ADLs using evidence-based measures, models how to translate evaluations into interventions, and presents best practices for readministering assessments.
