Nursing leaders must be aware of the relationship between the accreditations of The Joint Commission (TJC), Det Norske Veritas, Inc. (DNV), Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), and the finances of accredited organizations. There is a beneficial link between having accreditation with TJC/DNV/ACHC and financial performance. It leads to participation in certain state and federal governmental programs, as well as reimbursement programs and staff retention.
