This module will inform nurses about the causes and prevention of heat-related emergencies, with an emphasis on assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to: identify risk factors that may contribute to the onset of heat-related injuries, identify signs and symptoms of heat-related conditions and describe appropriate interventions for various heat-related injuries.
