Florida Medication Training

Course overview

The Florida Medication Training series is a 4.5-hour course series that provides Florida caregivers with the initial medication administration training required to assist clients with in-home care medication administration. Caregivers will learn to interpret medication abbreviations, orders, and labels, how to administer non-injectable medications; and techniques for safe and accurate medication administration. Additionally, caregivers will learn all about over-the-counter medications, and how to understand common medications. This course is accompanied by an addendum that incorporates the new 2022 regulation changes, including information on additional allowed tasks and insulin syringes.
