TCRN: Special Considerations for the Trauma Nurse
Tracking # 20-926634
Course overview
Trauma rarely affects a single body system. Most traumatically injured patients have injuries involving two or more body systems. This learning activity reviews the nursing management of trauma from a systemic level. Topics include psychosocial issues of trauma, shock, resuscitation strategies, the systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), abuse, special patient populations, comorbidities, and complications of trauma. The goal of this course is to provide nurses preparing for the Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) examination with information about special considerations in trauma care.
