Course overview

This course meets the 30-hour IV therapy education requirement set forth in the FBON Nurse Practice Act (Chapter 64B9-12.004, Page 93-96) for LPNs practicing IV Therapy in the State of Florida. This course is designed to provide the LPN (licensed practical nurse) with a comprehensive foundational knowledge in IV therapy practice, including managing CV lines. This course utilizes a video and printed materials as a basis for the course. In order to receive credit, participants should view the entire video, read the downloadable monograph, complete evaluation and score at least 70% on the post test. Additionally, the LPN must print the downloadable Skills Checklist and complete this under the supervision of a Florida licensed RN.
