COVID-19: PT/PTA Management of Patients with Multi-System Impairments
Tracking # 20-931624
Course overview
While there is still much to learn about the short- and long-term impacts of COVID-19, evidence supports that many patients experience multi-organ and multi-system impairments related to the virus. This course provides learners with an overview of the cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurologic, and musculoskeletal systems impacted by COVID-19, and the subsequent impact on clinical presentation and function through a case study. Evidence-based outcome measures to evaluate and progress patients, and best practices for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants to monitor and manage these patients, are reviewed.
