Course overview
All staff should be trained on wandering and elopement signs, and behavioral measures and environmental controls to ensure safe wandering. Staffs also need to be trained on behavioral profile of a resident with Alzheimer or Dementia when they have eloped from the facility. All staff need to know, and understand, how to respond when a resident elopes from the facility. They must know how to search inside and outside for the resident to ensure resident safety and survivability. This course will cover these situations.
