EXCESS CALORIC CONSUMPTION AND THE ASSOCIATED INCREASE IN ADIPOSE TISSUE HAVE BECOME ONE OF THE MOST PROFOUND RISK FACTORS FOR DEVELOPING CHRONIC DISEASES IN OUR GENERATION.
