Course overview

In this course we examine maternal physiology of pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period in order to understand associated events, including minor disorders and major complications. In order to provide clinical insight, 49 genuine cases are shared and discussed. Both proactive care and treatments are discussed. The course identifies emergency situations demanding referral as well as many situations and disorders where Chinese medicine and acupuncture are of benefit. It includes a broad range of aspects of pregnancy, labour and the postpartum, and the use of Chinese medicine and acupuncture to alleviate or treat the many issues that arise, and 49 cases that illustrate the effective use of Chinese medicine
