Suicide Prevention in Acute Settings
Tracking # 20-937374
Course overview
Inpatient medical units are not designed to house patients who are suicidal, and healthcare professionals working in those settings often lack the specialized training to deal with patients at risk for suicide. Additionally, patients who commit suicide in hospital settings often have no previous documented psychiatric history. The goal of this continuing education course is to provide clinicians with tools to detect and treat suicidal ideation in all inpatient and outpatient settings.
