Course overview
As a clinical documentation integrity (CDI) specialist, one must have the ability to recognize important metrics for evaluating CDI program performance. The effectiveness of a CDI program can impact hospital reimbursement, hospital profiles, physician profiles, and ultimately, patients. CDI specialists must have sufficient knowledge regarding proper evaluation and analysis of CDI programs. The goal of this course is to provide nurses preparing for the Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification exam with information about healthcare facility CDI program analysis. This course is not affiliated with the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS).
