Course overview

The quality management plan (QMP) is an excellent tool for the lab to define quality across the different areas of the laboratory and ensure that appropriate monitoring and corrective action is in place. This workshop will give a basic overview of the different elements of a QMP along with the corresponding regulatory standards. Examples of key quality indicators will be given as well as the appropriate corrective action/preventive action when data falls outside established thresholds. There will be a discussion of good documentation practice and the laboratory director's overall role in the QMP process.
