Managing Skin Integrity During Surgery

Course overview

Pressure injury affects more than 2.5 million hospitalized patients each year in the U.S. (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality [AHRQ], n.d.). In the OR, management of a patients skin integrity is a challenge. This course provides nurses and surgical technologists (STs) with education on the factors and considerations associated with pressure injuries, and best practices for protecting skin integrity in the OR.
