COVID Long Haul and the role of NMES

Course overview
Individuals recovering from COVID, especially long haulers/long COVID patients often require dysphagia therapy as part of their rehabilitation program. Mechanical ventilation, use of proning, malnutrition and the necessity for alternative hydration/nutrition have an impact of the swallow. This course will discuss the factors behind dysphagia in patients recovering from COVID as well as those recognized as "long haulers", as well as appropriate therapeutic techniques including NMES.
