Learner Objectives: As a result of having attended the meeting, the participants should have had the opportunity to: 1. To understand the results and methods of using hyperbaric oxygen as a treatment in existing animal-based clinical studies. 2. To explore the physiological effects of hyperbaric oxygen and predict how this may alter the course of sepsis in human studies. 3. Be able to list four of the eight major ICD categories with the highest rates for divers. 4. Describe three of the 50 three-digit ICD-9 codes with the highest prevalence rates among separating divers. 5. Discuss two of the health conditions with the highest relative risks for divers with 20 years of service compared to dives with less than six years of service.
