Intimate partner violence (IPV) is highly prevalent and associated with a range of mental health problems. This realist review explores the mechanisms of action involved in psychosocial interventions developed to support the recovery of women survivors of IPV. Findings suggest that the greatest impacts come from taking a holistic view of a problem and providing individualized and trauma-informed support.
