Course overview

Every clinician in the healthcare industry has specific standards and licensing requirements that must be met for them to practice in their discipline. All practicing occupational therapists (OT) and occupational therapy assistants (OTA) must ensure that they keep their professional licenses update-to-date and in good standing by meeting the requirements and regulations of the state in which they live and work. In fact, you are probably taking this course to meet your Board's requirement for continuing education credits. After taking this course, OTs and OTAs will have knowledge of the laws and rules governing occupational therapy in the state of Florida, including the Florida Statutes, Chapters 456 and 468 (Part III), and the Florida Administrative Code, Division 64B11.
