Course overview
The course will familiarize professionals with Child Protective Services statutory and agency guidelines for child maltreatment and abuse. The professional will demonstrably judge the urgency with which the agency must respond to the report of child abuse. In addition, individuals who report allegations of child abuse or neglect must be educated about state statutes, agency guidelines and the roles and responsibilities of Child Protective Services. This course will describe strategies to effectively support specific intervention and case applications and examples to illustrate the use of these interventions.
