This program will provide nurses with information about the growing problem of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in health care and strategies to reduce its spread. After studying the information presented here, you will be able to: discuss the epidemiology of MRSA, identify three factors that put hospital patients at risk for MRSA, and describe three strategies to prevent and control the spread of MRSA in healthcare facilities.
