Ovarian Cancer: Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment

Course overview

Ovarian cancer is the deadliest gynecological malignancy in the U.S. It is the fifth leading cause of cancer deaths among women. Nurses can lower the high mortality figure by becoming knowledgeable about this disease, recognizing hereditary patterns within families, and informing the public about risk factors and warning signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. Epithelial ovarian cancer will be the focus of this course. The goal of this course is to update nurses in the risk factors and management of ovarian cancer.
