Course overview
The goal of healthy aging is for older adults to lead the lives they want to live. Therapists who understand the age-related changes that can impact function, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial factors are best positioned to help older adults achieve this goal. This course identifies normal age-related changes and helps differentiate them from signs of pathology. Evaluation and treatment considerations are discussed, including factors that contribute to increased fall risk, appropriate therapy intensity and progression, participation, and outcomes.
